Health & Beauty: Hair of Paradise Organic Oil

My sporadic blog posting continues! I don't think I've ever been this tired in all my life. I'm lucky if I get to sit down and have a cup of tea in peace nowadays, because being a mommy to an on the go toddler is truly exhausting! Aydin has a never ending supply of energy, definitely way more than I do, how do they do it?! I've baby proofed like a mad person and he still finds a way to get into some trouble daily. Needless to say I haven't had a lot of time to myself to do anything much less to do any personal grooming or beauty treatments. My hair has been really neglected for months, I just wash and blow dry and hope for the best most days. The texture of it was dry and the ends especially were becoming so split. I'm definitely due a haircut but in between then, I have recently found an easy way to get my hair to look like its been through a day at the salon, without stepping foot outside the house!

I have never been one to oil my hair and I could probably count the times on one hand. Definitely not something I've done in my adult years. So when I was recently sent a bottle of Organic Hair of Paradise herbal hair oil to try out, I was skeptical to say the least. I've always thought oiling is so much work and who has the time. I decided to give it a try anyway because I thought my hair could definitely use some TLC. I normally wash my hair every 3 days so the night before I was planning on washing it, I took some oil and generously rubbed it into my hair, focusing on my scalp to combat dry skin and also on my ends to fight those nasty split ends. It smells really nice and light, no strong aroma which I was pleased about because there is nothing worse than smelling like you've slathered yourself in oil! The oil is a unique combination of mustard oil, fresh aloe vera, lavender oil, and natural tea tree oil - all amazing stuff! Once I finished massaging it in, I tied all my hair up at the top of my head nice and tight and laid an old towel on top of my pillow and went to sleep. I actually think I slept quite well too, thanks to the lavender!

In the morning I jumped in the shower first thing and washed my hair thoroughly. I had to shampoo it twice but even after the first wash most of it had come out easily. I then blow dried my hair and I have to say it was a lot easier than it normally is. It took a lot less time than usual. And my hair was so much silkier and less frizzy, I could notice the difference right away. Even my husband noticed how smooth and shiny it looked! It felt amazing, smooth, and still had lots of body and movement. So now I've decided to incorporate this amazing product into my life and I'm aiming to use it at least once a month to make sure my hair stays moist and hydrated.
